Junior Fair Livestock Sale

​The Small Market Animal Sale will be on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in the *NEW* Youth & Livestock Center (East of the Goat Barn) and the Large Market Animal Sale will be on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the Arena. Geauga County Junior Fair Livestock Auction will continue with an online auction platform. This will provide the option to view and participate in the auction virtually as well as in person.

​The Add-On option is available in addition to live bidding. This feature allows the community to support the youth project at any point the online auction is open. An add-on is separate from live bidding, and any supporter can donate a dollar amount to any junior fair youth during the period the auction is live on the website.

They are also learning how to be in business for themselves. Unfortunately, their business is on a small scale, and their costs are much higher than the average commercial producer. What do buyers need to do?

IN-PERSON LIVESTOCK SALE - I plan to attend the sale in person to watch the auction. 
  1. Park near Gate 9 (recommended) in the free fairground parking lot - enter (walk-in gate) at Gate 9.
  2. Buyer registration begins at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Livestock office located at the Arena.
  3. For the Small Market Animal Auction, visit the Livestock Sale Office to register for a bidder number then watch the live auction in the Youth & Livestock Center located across from the Arena at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, 9/4/26
  4. For the Large Market Animal Auction, visit the Livestock Sale Office to register for a bidder number then watch the live auction on in the Arena at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, 9/5/26.
  5. To Check Out, visit Livestock Sale Office in the Arena.
  6. Buyers purchasing market animals should review the processor list. ​

VIRTUAL ONLINE LIVESTOCK SALE - I plan to watch from home and bid from my computer/iPhone/tablet.
  1. Animals will be sold online at bwfinaldrive.com >
  2. In order to bid live you must create an account on the bwfinaldrive.com website.
  3. Once you are logged in to your account, click on Auctions on the top navigation then scroll to either the "Geauga Co Small Animal Livestock Sale - Ohio" or the "Geauga Co Large Animal Livestock Sale - Ohio"
  4. The sale will be simulcast which means we will be live in the sale ring, you can bid online and the bid will be called in.
  5. To pay by cash or check: mail a check to the fair office n(PO Box 402, Burton, OH 44021) or visit the Livestock Sale Office located at the Arena.
  6. To pay by credit card: please call the office to have us check out the invoice and pay.
  7. Please note: the credit card number used to create an account on BWfinaldrive.com are not automatically charged. 
  8. Online buyers must notify the Livestock Sale Office of their processor selection by 5:00 p.m. Sunday following the sale.

How the Auction Works:
  • Lots are available to view on the website starting August 30, 2026. 
  • Sale order will be Rabbits, Ducks, Turkeys & Chickens for Small Animal. Dairy Baskets, Swine, Goats, Lambs, Beef for Large Animal Sale. Sale order within each species will be set by alpha sorting. Grand Champions and Grand Reserve Champions will be placed at the beginning of the species order.
  • Bids are being placed by the lot, what that means is if you place a bid for $1,000, it is for the entire animal not $1,000 per pound. The auction guarantees no weights as this is not a "purchase by pound" auction.
  • Add-On's can be placed on the auction website to donate to the junior fair youth participants. Those desiring to assist individual youth exhibitors through financial donations may place “Add-ons” on specific lots.  These add on monies will be credited to the youth exhibitor less applicable sale expenses. There is no transfer of ownership implied to any lot by placing “add-ons” on a lot. Add-ons are to be strictly considered a gift to the youth exhibitor. 

Virtual Auction

We will have an online auction that will allow family and friends of the junior fair participants to view the auction and support them.

  1. Go to bwfinaldrive.com
  2. Click on Login/Register at Top Right Corner
  3. Click Register at bottom of dialog box
  4. Enter Username & password; write this down for future use. Note: Capitalization Matters
  5. Fill out appropriate information (first name, last name, address, interested in). If you are wishing to bid or place add on’s select bidding/buying
  6. Click “Next Step”
  7. Read & Agree to Terms & Conditions by checking box at the bottom of the page
  8. Click “Next Step”
  9. Complete Registration
  10. Click Log In & Enter your Username & Password
  11. Find Desired Auction & Click “Enter Auction”
  12. To the Left of the Page you will see Category of Projects Available in that Sale. You are able to search by Exhibitors Name, Chapter, County, City, Type of Sale (Terminal or Premium) ***VERIFY THE PARTICULAR ITEM’S TYPE OF SALE BEFORE BIDDING. Some auctions will be PREMIUM ONLY and the BIDS ARE DONATIONS TO EXHIBITORS; HIGH BIDDERS DO NOT RECEIVE PROJECT ON PREMIUM SALE ITEMS. OTHER AUCTIONS MAY INCLUDE THE POSSESSION OF THE ANIMAL. Please read the details of each lot to determine type of sale.***
  13. Once you have selected Exhibitor you may
    1. Place an auction bid. (You may place a maximum auto bid. If you place a $750 maximum auto bid the system will bid on your behalf up to $750 as long as other bidders are competing against you.)
    2. Place Add-Ons which are straight donations to the respective exhibitor.

  14. Invoices will be generated at the conclusion of the event. Keep in mind the Add-On feature will remain active for several hours to several days after auction bidding closes depending on each shows desire.
  15. Be sure to check where payment is to be made. Some shows are collecting their own funds and others are asking Breeders World to collect. Your invoice will show the payment location at the bottom of the in-voices.
