Geauga 4-H 5K Race and 1K Fun WalkSunday, August 31, 2025 - 8:00 AM
The 5k course starts at the fair grandstands, winds through beautiful & historical Burton Ohio, and ends at the fair grandstand. Race Perks include:
5k Start Time: 8:00 AM Fun Run Start Time: 8:15 AM Registration Fee: $25 by August 21st ($35 afterward) |

Open daily 11:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. with youth fishing beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Educational Demonstrations and Activities as follows:
11:00 - Natural Resource Area opens
11:00 - 7:00 - Come and interact with “Butterfly Encounter Exhibit”
12:00 – 2:00 Youth fishing - Division of Wildlife
12:00 – 6:00 Youth Archery – Geauga Park District, Center Shot Ministries and
Ohio Premier Archery
12:30 - “Let’s Talk Turkey” – National Wildlife Turkey Association
*1:00 - Saturday / - “Caring for Your Woods: First Steps” (an introduction to getting started with active management on your
property) – Holden Forests & Garden
Sunday - “Forest Invasives 101” (get to know the common invasive plant species in our area and ways to start
managing them) – Holden Forests & Garden
1:30 - "Trapping; its roll in Ohio wildlife management" – Ohio State Trappers
2:00 - 3:00 Cooking Demonstration – Division of Wildlife
2:30 - “Anchor it with Roots before it Pollutes” - Geauga Soil & Water
