Poem by Brad Todd

It’s just Heaven
Eatin’ kettle corn at the Geauga County Fair
Well, maybe not quite Heaven
But, we’re very nearly there

Meandering down the crowded midway
blue sky high above
Walking hand in hand
With the one that you love

Looking at ancient tractors
There’re plenty of them to view
Proudly they’ve been polished up
They appear to be brand new

Wander into a long barn
To catch a bit of shade
Admiring all the beautiful quilts
That patient hands have made

Checking out the milk cows
Standing in their stalls
Taking in the sounds and smells
You can’t get at your bests malls
