1. What is the difference in the passes?

in the Agricultural Society. It can only be purchased by a Geauga County resident that is 21 or
older.
- $25.00 exhibitor pass has 5 gate admissions and can be purchased by anyone entering. The
deadline to purchase is the same as the fair entry deadline.
- $15.00 exhibitor pass has 3 gate admissions and can be purchasedcan be purchased by anyone entering. The
deadline to purchase is the same as the fair entry deadline. This pass is for non-animal entries only.
2. Do I have to buy a pass?
Yes, if you wish to enter animals in the fair you must purchase either the $30.00 membership
(Geauga residents 21 or older) or the $25.00 exhibitor pass. If you are not entering animals you
have to purchase a minimum of the $15.00 exhibitor pass, but can purchase one of the others if
you wish.
Children 12 & under entering junior classes do not need a ticket for non-animal entries - they will be assigned a junior exhibitor's number.
3. Do I have to purchase a pass if I am entering my Junior Fair animal in the open show?
No, as long as the animal has been entered in Junior Fair, and you have met the requirements
of that program. You can enter the open show and pay only the entry fee for the class or classes
you are entering.
4. As a Junior Fair participant, can I enter an animal that isn’t a Junior Fair project?
Yes, as long as you buy a $25.00 exhibitor pass and pay the entry fees.
5. Do I have to pay an entry fee for non animal entries?
No, you only have to purchase one of the three passes.
6. When do I drop off my entries?
You must look at the drop off times for each department you are entering. These times are
located at the beginning of each department before the rules. Before taking an exhibit to a building,
you must pick up the tags for your entries in the Secretary’s Office. These tags may be picked up
the week before the fair or the day of your entry.
7. Why do I have to supply my SSN?
In the event you receive in excess of $600.00 in premiums, we must issue you a 1090 tax form
and report to the IRS.
8. How do I get a campsite?
Campsites depending on availability may be purchased at the Secretary’s Office before the fair on any day the office is open starting June 15, 2011. Anyone who is an exhibitor or participant in
the fair in some way may purchase a campsite if you are 18 or older and can show proof of liability insurance (on homeowner's policy or renter's policy). Once you have a site, the following
year you have first rights to that same site the next year.
9. Why do I have to provide my homeowners liability insurance for my campsite?
The fairgrounds is not a campground. Our insurance requires proof of personal liability
insurance from anyone renting anything (any space or building) on the fairgrounds. At fair, this is
an area you are renting to put your camper. It could be any building, pavilion, grassy area, etc.
10. How do I buy tickets to the Grandstand shows?
Starting July 1, 201 1, Grandstand Show tickets will be on sale in the Secretary's Office during
normal office hours or purchase your tickets online.
